A Glimmer of Sanity

"I would remind the President of the United States that he is not the leader of a party or an ideology; he is the leader of our country—one founded, not to emulate others, but to inspire the world."
- Rep. Thaddeus McCotter, MI
That's exactly what I would like to remind Obamanuts!

The Nuts are at it - again!

An Oregon School has banned the Giving Tree, along with Santa Claus.

Link to KOMO article

The nuts are running the nut house again!

These anti-Christ Christmas idiots just don't get it. If they manage to that Christ out of Christmas, you are left with just another day. There would be no Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, winter holidays, or any other holiday season.

Christmas time is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ - plain and simple. Without Him, there is nothing!

......sigh....

Is the Climate Change Threat Real?

Is Climate Change at risk of destroying the globe?

I don't think so.

In light of the recent revelations that the AWG proponents were fudging the numbers, or cooking the books, should cause everyone to question the whole 'settled science' issue. I think we all can think back on quite a few 'settled science' that eventually was proven not to be fact. Flat earth? Sun orbits around the earth?

Even if Climate Change is a real threat, it is probably not worth the effort to try to mitigate the effects. It has been estimated that to make any effect would require NO green house emissions for at least 143 years - just for a 0.7 degree reduction in global temperatures, not to mention the Trillions of dollars removed from the global economy. Destroy modern civilization or destroy modern civilization. Hmmm. Would it be worth it? I think not.

I'm not a proponent of polluting the planet. Growing up in Southern California I remember the blankets of smog choking the LA basin when there was no rain or wind for several days. That's not a good thing. Efforts to mitigate those polluting effects have been and are worth the effort, but to destroy modern civilization in order to save modern civilization seems to me not to be a desirable goal. Kinda like smashing out your car windshield because of the possibility of it getting a chip or a crack in the future.

There is an excellent, laymen's terms article over at Bore Patch explaining the problems with the Global Warming Climate Change science: Should you be a Global Warming Skeptic?

And what's with the name change?

The Slow March to Socialism

If you are really wondering about the talk of our socialist-leaning congresscritters and the POTUS, you should read this:

Survivor of socialism has warning for America

You can mark a step-by-step parallel to what is happening today.

Oh, and have a nice day :o(

Someone in the Media finally gets it

Time to Put An End to Army Bases as Gun-Free Zones

John Lott of Fox News even got it right about the handgun that Maj. Hasan used in the shooting.

I do agree that we should finally trust our service members and allow either open carry or licensed concealed carry on military bases, or at least follow the local area laws that the base is located.

Remember, when seconds count, help is only minutes away.

In Honor of Veteran's Day

This video will give you goose bumps!

These 5 little girls are just awesome!

This may give you some idea of what most veterans or service members feel when they hear the National Anthem, or salute the flag - it does me.

I spent 21 years defending my country. I never served in combat, but I was always willing to do my duty. If that meant losing my life, then that was my duty. I am still ready - without hesitation! Without this great nation, I know I would not have the wonderful life that I have been blessed with.

Being a service member allowed me to see many parts of this world. I learned a lot about different countries and their people and customs. I was able to meet and learn from many wonderful people. It also allowed me to realize and appreciate first-hand that there is no better place to live than right here in the United States of America.

God Bless the U.S.A.

We Must Choose Now!

"The strongest reason for the People to retain their right to keep and bear arms is as a last resort to protect themselves against tyranny in government." -Thomas Jefferson

Here's a very profound comparison presented by Glenn Beck:

Time to get off the fence, folks!
